BusinessOps is a business intelligence and decision-support plugin for Claude Code. Point it at a sales spreadsheet or CSV export and it profiles the file, checks its quality, and reports on KPIs, sales, customers, products, profitability and cash — then forecasts revenue and flags periods that break from their own history.
It also researches companies, markets, competitors and industries from public sources, and assembles SWOT analyses, strategy recommendations, decision packages and executive reports from the evidence it has already established. It is built for business owners, executives, finance and operations teams, analysts and consultants at small and mid-sized businesses whose data lives in spreadsheets.

Problem & Solution
The Business Problem
Small and mid-sized businesses keep their numbers in spreadsheets and exports. Turning them into trustworthy KPIs, forecasts and decisions takes hours of manual analysis — and AI answers are only useful when every figure can be traced and checked.
Solution & Implementation
Built a Claude Code plugin around a deterministic Python analytics engine. Claude commands, skills, subagents and hooks handle the questions, research and drafting; every figure is computed in code, every claim is tagged with its source and confidence, and spreadsheets are analysed locally.
The core of BusinessOps is a deterministic Python engine. Claude never does the arithmetic: KPIs, analytics, forecasts and anomaly baselines are all computed in code, and a data-quality gate stops an analysis rather than letting a damaged file produce a plausible-looking wrong answer.
Around that engine sit 18 Claude commands backed by 16 skills, two specialist subagents — a research scout and an analysis verifier — and hooks that guard file writes. Output separates facts, calculations, interpretations and recommendations, and states its confidence and limitations. Recommendations stay drafts: BusinessOps never executes an action, and anything consequential needs explicit approval.
